Thanks to each and every gadgets fan out there who entered our very first gadgets competition to win a wonderful Super Lite Travel Towel from Trekmates. We were inundated with entrants ranging from people who wanted to use the towel to dry their two toddlers with* to poet laureates who thought they could overwhelm us with their lyrical ingenuity……

*Note to the mother of the two toddlers: this towel measures 40×40 cm - that’s about the size of an extra large hankerchief – Em, your kids would not be impressed.

Choosing a winner for the Superlite Travel Towel was a cause of much deliberation for us here in the Gadgets.ie offices, we had to listen to a number of sob stories about wet camping trips and unfair baggage allowances and at the same time avoid succumbing to what can only be described as ‘Mrs Doyle’ styled persuasion…from a dog(!?);

…We did find these witty entrants to be deserving of an inclusion;

Paddy, we were tempted. As you can see, we did encounter terrible difficulty in choosing a winner for this competition – after a week of meditating and a few cups of tea we arrived at our final decision…….(Drumroll Please!)

And without further ado…we would like to announce the winner of our very first gadgets competition….who, as I’m sure you will all agree, is a very deserving candidate..Please welcome to the stage Belinda….Daly!

Well done Belinda, the judges thought yours was a better reason than any to be awarded with the Superlite Travel Towel.
