Awaken the Force with the new STAR WARS™ Virtual Reality Viewers

Before trying on the new line of Star Wars™ Virtual Reality Viewers, the closest I’d come to a virtual reality headset was in 1995 when a tech show came to our local leisure centre; who could believe it, virtual reality in Enniskillen? I was 20th in the queue, primed and ready to experience the world of 90’s VR before being abruptly dragged out by the classroom assistant telling me to get on the bus – I just had to imagine what it might have been like… that was until now!

A new range of Star Wars™ Virtual Reality Viewers has landed (pun not int.) featuring designs of the popular classic characters C-3P0, Darth Vader and R2-D2, the iconic Stormtrooper design and BB-8 from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The Star Wars™ app is, of course, recommended but don’t worry if your not a fan of the Force, there are hundreds of VR Apps on Google Play to choose from.

What’s great about the Star Wars™ Virtual Reality Viewers is the quality. They’ve been approved through the ‘Works with Google Cardboard’ programme and features enhancements to the basic Google Cardboard Viewer specifications. The optics are built using ultra-precise TRU-LENS technology. The lenses are slow injection moulded for superb image clarity, and then perfectly aligned using a finely tuned mechanical device, rather than by hand. This system ensures perfect alignment and avoids haze and double imaging common with many low cost Viewers.

C-3PO is available exclusively at Hamleys (with a £9 delivery to Éire), though don’t worry – Darth Vader and BB-8 can be picked up at your local Argos store and R2-D2 and the Stormtrooper can be ordered on Amazon.

The viewers fit most smartphones with screens up to 6 inches including iPhone 6 and 6+, Galaxy 7 and 7 edge. Suitable for ages 8 to adult. Responsible viewing time should be respected.
